A new study from the real estate brokerage firm Zillow found that Hawaii real estate was the second most valuable in the country, ahead of Florida and California.
Real estate brokers are also the top earners in many states.
Zillower looked at all the properties listed for sale in Hawaii from January to October 2016.
Realtor.com tracked each property owner’s sales history from 2009 to 2021.
The real estate agent was the best in all of the states, with a median selling price of $2.75 million, Zillows study found.
Realestate brokers are the top paid professionals in the state.
In Hawaii, the median pay for real estate agents is $98,000, which is slightly higher than the median income in the United States, but less than the highest paid in California, New York, Illinois, and Nevada, the study found, according to ZillOW.
Hawaii has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the U.S. and is home to a number of top-notch universities.
It has a robust real estate industry, with many well-known companies including, Hilton Hawaiian, Hilton Garden Inn, Marriott, and Waikiki Hotels.
Hawaii is also home to the largest Hawaiian population, with more than 30 million residents.
